Government Antiquity Department and Preservation Council, established specifically for this project by academicians, worked together at the restoration of the Pera Palace Hotel to bring back its past grandeur. While the original architectural characteristics of the building were underlined, technical infrastructure necessary for an international hotel was also constructed.
Pera Palace Hotel, classified as a “museum-hotel” aims not only to meet the demands of its guests in the best way possible and provide a unique and nostalgic experience but also to claim its legacy and be a social and cultural center of the city again as it has been in the past.
20 million Euro restoration project that started in April 2008 has completed in September 1, 2010 when İstanbul is the European Capital of Culture.
